I’ve been to this twice now as I find the chapel fascinating and lovely inside. We also found out about the tradition of the choir there and the chapel’s involvement in the community.

A walk in the summer of 2013, int he Lake District, this time around Rydal Water, the trail taking us past Wordsworth’s house, up the hill to a cave filled with a large pond, and down again, thankfully, to a pub.
The is a wide scan of the back of my left eye. While looking at it I was struck by the thought that landscapes are not just outside us, but inside us as well. For some reason I was reminded of astronomical deep field photograhs. The dispersed features of space and the fine tracery of the back of my eye seem womehow to match.

A choir member glanced back at the camera as I took this photograph at the St Olav’s Day ceremonies. The overcast sky and occasional shower of rain did nothing to the colour and joy of the day.
Strolling down a road just off the motroway at Belmont, England, near Durham, I spotted this Banksy effort [or copy?] sprayed on the wall of a service shed near the shopping development. Nice to have a brush with fame!
